Today, my sister gave me a great reminder when she posted my Granola recipe at http://hogiewogie.blogspot.com. Another heart and cholesterol friendly recipe! Yes! Thanks for the reminder.
Just the mention of the recipe and I was ready to make it. I make a version that is as good or better than the Costco bakery Granola. I am a Costco groupie, so that says a lot.
I have not used coconut in mine for years, per the tastes of one, Mr Ron. This is exactly what I put in mine (see Jenni's post for amounts) Oats, Brown Sugar, Wheat Germ, Oat Bran, Chopped Almonds, Chopped Pecans, Sunflower Seeds, Craisins, and Golden Flax Seed ( I don't use the dark flax seed as it looks like bugs in the food- and any picky eaters in the crew will not even go near it- they don't even know the Golden Flax Seed is there)
Thanks, Jenni for getting me going on this again.

Hey, what makes you think I don't like coconut? I like coconut and if you add it to the granola, that's fine with me. Looking forward to the next batch!
thanks for the recipe. does this end up chewy or crunchy?
