Katie K, Jeffrey, Keith, and John K on a recent Sunday afternoon at our house. Keith was home from Utah for a week and Jeffrey was home from Gainesville. It was a perfect excuse for a Sunday dinner together. Our boys grew up with John and Katie's children. They are dear friends-family in every sense.
We treasure the visits from the grown and growing children.
Note John's shirt!! If there is a question regarding Hurricane Preparation, Recovery, Damage, etc. as a native Floridian, JOHN IS THE EXPERT. Over the years, he has conducted numerous Hurricane Preparation seminars at our Church. His Seminars are so complete and thorough, I say they are better than most of the Professional Seminars sponsored by local Businesses and Media in the Community.
After Hurricane Frances (and before Jeanne hit us 11 days later) John and Katie got their electricity back on quickly. Meanwhile, mine was off for days and days. With no way to do laundry, or any other daily task requiring electricity, they came and picked up our laundry mountains, washed, dried, and returned clean folded laundry. In the middle of all the crisis surrounding Hurricane recovery, that was the most wonderful thing anyone could have done for us.
