Baby Shower Decorations

The following are a few photos of the decorations from Beth's Baby Shower in preparation for the arrival of baby Ava:
This Cake Topper by Wilton complimented the Shower Invitations. It is filled with Pink Jelly Belly Jelly Beans which had to do with a game we played at the shower (more on that later)Oh- this is "The All American Chocolate Cake" from Costco...you know... the one you always want to buy but it is too huge for the occasion you would like to buy it for. It is deee-lish. More on the food in the next post.
These Dollar Store Frames were perfect for accents for framing messages and photos of Beth as a baby. Note the Pink and Green Ribbon... This ribbon was the springboard for my decorating. Bright pink with lime green thread down the center. I got it at Michaels.
These Boxes were 10 for $1 at the Dollar Store. Tied up with the ribbon I love, they were filled with Jelly Belly Jelly Beans as a favor to take home.
One of the many tissue paper flowers. I made about 25 Pink or Green Tissue flowers (the kind you used to make out of Kleenex tissues in Elementary School or in Spanish Class-at least that is where I learned this technique) I was going for the Martha Stewart Puffy Tissue Balls to hang from my ceiling, but as I went on, the puffy balls did not look that great and I really liked the idea of using these as flowers. This was much better than using balloons for that pop of accent color. Also-- I do not like running out to pick up balloons or having to inflate them when I am in the middle of putting a party.
I used the flowers every where. They still look great. I am hoping to use them for a Young Women Activity or summer decoration.
I don't have to tell you that I am still using my dinosaur camera. It does not photograph this pink very well at all. I got the bright pink and bright lime green tissue paper at Target.
More flowers. I used the favor boxes tied with the ribbon as part of the decorations. They were the perfect secondary accent scattered amongst the ivy garland.
One of the large puffy balls on my dining room chandelier. I actually liked the smaller ones better. These were so easy and fun to work with! Very festive and economical. I love great decorations that are easy on the budget. I love to go all out on decorating for a party, but do not like to spend the party money on the decorations.

Stay tuned for the food, activity and guest review. What a fun night!
