As a kickoff to Fathers Day, I begin with a December 1993 photo of my dad... the "Hip" Grandpa dancing with Jeffrey, *Curt, Andrew, and our dog, Bagel (on the floor, center) is, no doubt, howling and wanting in on the dance. This is in our kitchen at the house in Royal Palm Beach. Bagel was one year old.
Being a "Hip" Grandpa takes on an entirely new meaning at this moment in time. Monday, June 18, just to make sure he is as hip as possible, my dad is having major hip surgery. Keep him and my mom in your prayers. *Attention... he is having surgery on his right hip...the one Curt is bumping. NOTE: Andrew is not bumping Grandpa's right hip. Andrew cannot be blamed for the surgery need.
