Yesterday, the NAACP held a symbolic funeral and buried the "N" word. Yes!!!! What a proactive plan!
I believe it one of the most offensive terms in the English language. I cringe when this word is used in any setting or form or between anyone of any race. I can proudly say, this is not a part of my vocabulary and I have never called someone the "N" word.
Words are the most powerful tools we have. We can lift or destroy a person with words. May this burial be the beginning of purging destructive words from our culture.
Life is too short to tear others down. May we build and lift with each word we choose. There are just too many good words out there to waste time one the negative!
