That would be..... Blue Jell-O. Seriously, you had better get yours by tomorrow.
We make Red White and Blue Parfaits for 4th of July. Layers of Red Jello, Strawberries, Blueberries, Whipped Cream, and Blue Jell-O. I could not believe my eyes last July when I went to my local Publix Grocery Store the day before 4th of July with Blue Jell-O on my list of things to buy. What???? They were out. That was not possible. I live in Florida....not Utah--the Jell-O capital of the USA, if not the world.
The same dilemma occurred the day the Florida Gators were playing the National Championship Game and an Orange and Blue Dinner was necessary for Good Luck. No Blue Jell-O the day of the game. What?
Now I know...plan ahead....buy my Blue-Jell-O early. Just an FYI, I have 4 Boxes of Blue Jell-O in my pantry. That is a 1 year supply for me, Gator Games and all. I was raised that Jell-O is a sacred food (thanks to my dad), yet somehow, it does not hold as high regard as chocolate and ice cream.
Oh, and in case you are wondering, I did speak with the store manager this morning about this issue. He and I have become good friends ever since I was quoted in the Palm Beach Post as opposing the Little Clinic they recently opened. Whenever I am in the store, he appears from out of no where and I receive his undivided attention. Today, he bagged my groceries, walked them to my car, and loaded them.... I think he will make sure his store always has Blue Jell-O for these important occasions.

Hey Shauna,
Could you tell me how to make those tissue flowers? I'm trying to put together a 1st birthday party for L this Saturday. I have a lot of tissue paper and a small decorating budget (since I'm trying to direct disposable cash flow to our trip at the end of the month). I have a lot of leftover decorations that blend together well. So, I'm doing a strawberry shortcake theme. L loves strawberries, so she's getting strawberry shortcake for a birthday cake. I have some leftover Strawberry shortcake decor from J's party 2 years ago. Thanks.
Funny, I was going to ask Shauna the same thing. I need to decorate the kids wagon for the pancake breakfast tommorow and I have a whole pkg of blue tissue paper. Thanks Shauna for your wonderful tips and tricks!
