Sun Protection

Sun Kissed...
Being a Sun-Worshiper for most of my life, having the only goal some summers to "Get my legs tan", I am now paying the price for those days of bronzed beauty-mostly on my face. I still go in the sun often, but not without protecting my skin. This Coppertone Sport is my favorite for my body, and then I use a For Faces Only sunscreen on my face (duh). Yesterday, I tried something new and it did not work well, my face is Lobster-Red. (See next post) The Coppertone Sport Spray is wonderful. No rubbing in messy creams. I can get my entire body covered with little or no help, other than my back, which is easy for my kids to help with when there are no messy creams to spread unevenly over my back.

Living in Florida most of my adult life, I have been vigilant about using Sunscreens and Sunblocks on my children. There are two things I require of Sun Protection for children. 1) It MUST be able to be SPRAYED on. How I raised my boys without Spray Sun Protection... I just don't know. 2) It must be at least 45SPF

This is my favorite shaped bottle for Sun Protection Spray. Very easy to spray and get everywhere--in the hair, on the ears, etc. This particular brand is not, however, strong enough for protection children, in my opinion.

This is 50SPF. Very good protection, and in a spray bottle. I just like the shape of the previous one better. There are now continuous spray bottles vs pump spray bottles.
I am totally sold on Sun Protection that can be sprayed. No more sunburned scalps on little ones with thin hair and exposed scalps

Even if something says it is water proof... I make sure to re-apply sunscreen at 1-2 hour intervals...especially when they are in and out of the water.
There are a few other brands I like. Anything by Bullfrog is great. Watching the SPF and choosing between Sunscreen and Sunblock are all factors when reading labels and determining needs.
