The Best New Year Perspective

Thoughts For A New Year
As everyone is setting goals and looking forward to a bright new year,
the following quote by Howard W Hunter is an all time favorite of mine for New Years.
It is packed full of wisdom.
Every Christmas and/or New Year, I use this quote in some way...
a card, in a lesson I teach, or in my own personal study.
It is the best counsel for Christmas and for living the entire year.
This is the perfect example of keeping Christmas in our lives year round.
I keep this up on my refrigerator permanently.
The counsel in this quote has changed my life!
"This Christmas (New Year), mend a quarrel.
Seek out a forgotten friend.
Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust.
Write a letter. Give a soft answer.
Manifest your loyalty in word and deed.
Keep a promise.
Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize.
Try to understand.
Examine your demands on others.
Think first of someone else.
Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more.
Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger.
Gladden the heart of a child.
Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth.
Speak you love and then speak it again."
~President Howard W Hunter~
Happy New Year!
