Last Weekend
This has been such a busy week....no, not just busy...DARN busy! Before this weekend hits, I need to share the events of last weekend!
Ron (note... he is down 20 pounds!!!) and Don Mc Dougal spent Saturday building my dream Garage Shelves. They are built from the ceilng, not the floor. Now, with any luck, I can park my barge of a car in one of the 3 spaces in my garage!!! When your 3 car garage is the size of your first apartment and you cannot get even one car in, there is a problem! One of my 2008 goals is to park inside my garage, not just when a hurricane is approaching, but every day!
Thank you, Don, for giving your Saturday to us! Don's family lives life in the fast lane at "full-throttle" so I felt more than a little guilty to have him give up a precious Saturday with his family.
At about midnight on Sunday... I, yes I, completed MY 5th Grade Science Fair Project! Mmmmmm
The paperwork alone was enough to make a High School student sweat! Eleven pages of typed documentation along with the board that had to be creative, neat, and well-presented. Oh, and then the 4 pages of lab notes from at least 4 days of experimenting. I am so happy to be out of 5th grade now! Katherine arrived at school Monday morning to turn in her project only to turn around and throw up all over the parking lot! Yep....it's been a week of passing this nasty tummy bug. Of course, this comes on top of a week that is packed full from morning to night.

Wednesday: YoungWomen New Beginnings..... you know I am slipping, I forgot my camera and I made the Beehive Bundt cake for my New Beehives.
Thursday: Set Up and Decorating for the Youth Dance Tomorrow night
The days have been filled with working in my garage to fill the new shelves, exercising, working, and chasing Riley.
Tomorrow night is the youth dance and Saturday is Katherine's audition for BAK Middle School of The Arts.

Wow! I remember living your life. I don't want to rub it in but...today we get Austin (he's on spring break)and Kennedy while Mindi works in Cody's pre-school class. I turned the heat on so the little feet that strip down bare when they walk in the door won't be cold and I'm planning on playing Wii, strawberry shortcake and eating left over Pizza Hut pizza. We just might bake some brownies too.
This my darling Shauna, is what you have to look forward to as grandma!!(or Waa Waa, as Kennedy calls me)
Oh, what is Katherine going to do for her audition and...
I loathe Science Fair projects! I loathe the stress they put the child, family and mostly the mom through. Is it really worth it???
Oh.. I love your new shelves. That's what I'm dreaming of. Fishing gear is beginning to encroach .. and tools and all the boy stuff, but I sure am glad I have the guy that goes with all that stuff.
