Fun Surprise

General Conference Surprise!
Sunday morning, I was just taking my seat in the Conference Center when I heard, someone calling "Shauna" from the next section over....I looked up to see my dear, dear friend, Cathi B, who lives in Orlando!
I am close enough to her that we should have known each other would be in Salt Lake for General Conference.
Life just gets crazy.....we both did that "have a second family" thing and we are dog-dead tired most of the time from chasing little ones and keeping tabs on the grown ones. We totally understand each other without having to complete a sentence!!!!
Anyhow, as if this was not exciting enough... she was with Liz and her husband Jason, and Dan and his wife, Starie. He husband,Ron B, their son, little Josh, and Dan's baby were sitting the session out at their hotel.
Now, if you do not read anything else..... read and remember this.....CATHI LOOKS FABULOUS!!!!!! She is an inspiration to keep on my weight loss and exercise goals!!!! She has lost over 60 pounds and is still on the way down.

When I met Liz and Dan's spouses, I was amazed at how much they looked like they totally belonged to the Borch family! Liz and Jason have their first baby on the way and Dan and Starie have an adorable little baby boy, Ryan. Yes, Cathi and Ron are too young to be Grandparents, but they are amazing that way, you know.
I love having the Salt Lake Temple in the background for a photo of Cathi and me. The Temple has been one of the centers of our friendship over the years.
I love you, Cathi and family!!!!
The Borch family is one of the most incredible families I have ever met. They totally know HOW to be a FAMILY. It is an art and they have it down.
They continue to teach me so much about being a family!!!!!!

Dan looks the exact same as I remember him from childhood and he got himself a beautiful wife too!

Now, one of my most fun childhood memories are all the crazy stories that Ron B told us as children- how many of them were actually true I wonder?!
