Retired

They Served Me Well...
My favorite Nike Shox have been replaced.
Good Bye Old Nike Shox...You took me so many places!
Hello to my New Nike Shox!!!
I have been looking and looking for just the right pair of shoes
to replace my well-loved Nike Shox. Finally at the Nike Factory
Store in Orlando, I found the perfect replacement. Love them!
Because of my recent exercise and fitness roadblock**, they are
still clean and shiny as new!
**An Exercise and Fitness Roadblock...
At the risk of sounding whiny, I have not blogged much about
my health challenges of the past 3 months. What was originally
diagnosed as pneumonia has not gone away (2 major antibiotics later)
and I am convinced
there is something going on with my sinuses that is draining into
my chest. I have a major "smokers cough" constantly. However, when
I exercise, it gets WORSE, much WORSE. As soon as my heart rate
gets up, I start with the hacking and coughing.
The pressure in my head breaks loose and so does the hacking and coughing.
More than once, I have been surrounded by a crowd of people
at the gym during one of my episodes.
Hence, I avoid the gym, even though I NEED the exercise.
It is a vicious circle. This has also put a serious damper on my fitness
and weight loss goals. I view it as a only a roadblock, but it will be
nice to see the scale tip down again and, most of all, to not hack
and cough when I exercise.
The hacking and coughing gets bad when I laugh or when I talk to
loudly or too much (so it happens ALL THE TIME)
Tomorrow, I have a very anticipated Doctor's Appointment. It is one
of those appointments where I have a list to refer to as there are too
many "things" to remember.
The fun is just beginning as far as tests, I am sure. I have a few other
health concerns in the back of my head and I am hoping to have
them all calmed in the next week or so.
I'll be off to the races in my new Nike Shox soon, I can just feel it!
As my side bar says, My Life Is Like Shoes...Made To Be Worn Out
In Service. I am ready to get charged up for the next 10,000 miles
of service to others!

When you have you coughing fits, does it taste like your mouth is full of blood, or like iron? I had that same problem when running in Utah...for some reason it doesn't happen to me anymore, and I can run 3 to 6 miles each day.

Come to think of it, I haven't had this problem ever in Michigan or Florida, only Utah...maybe it's an altitude thing...
