Consider Yourself Warned

Warning:
This post will cause you to march directly to the store, purchase these York Premier Baking Pieces in the form of Mini York Peppermint Patties, drive straight home, report to the kitchen and BAKE. Then of course, you will EAT. No question about it, you WILL eat and you WILL enjoy! (Unless you are one of those rare persons on this planet who does not like chocolate, or chocolate and mint..it is difficult for me to relate to you.)

Remember, you were warned....Thank me now or later, when you are basking in the delicious delight of this recipe from my friend, Melissa Mantor.
York Peppermint Brownies
1 1/2 C. Unsalted Butter, melted
3 C. Sugar
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
5 Eggs
2 C. Flour
1 C. Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
24 small York Peppermint Patties, unwrapped OR, use my new find, the Mini Peppermint
Patties York Premier Baking Bits, Melissa suggested using 2 bags.
Preheat over to 350*. (325* for glass pans) Grease a 9x13 Baking Dish. In large bowl, stir in melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, and stir until well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Blend well. Spread HALF of the mixture in the bottom of the 9x13 pan. Arrange the York Peppermint Patties on top in a single layer about 1/2" apart (6 rows x4 rows) Spread remaining mixture on top of the mints. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until Brownies pull away from the sides. While warm, dust top with Powdered sugar.
Enjoy every bite!
Merry Christmas!
