One Of My Quirks

All Dressed Up

Last night was the annual Holiday Party (you know....the one where everyone says Merry Christmas..and then wonders if the person celebrates Christmas) for Ron's Company. Yep...it is always on a weeknight, with everyone partying like it is a weekend night. I have my theories on why it is always held on a weeknight, however, I am not sure anyone knows exactly why the entire company is expected to attend, dress to the nines, stay late, party hearty, and be on the job bright and early the next morning...hangover and all. (not us!)

Oh well, the food is always fabulous and it gives me an excuse to add another item to my dress-up wardrobe.

I spent some time in the salon (actually 2 salons) yesterday. It was time for an overhaul...manicure, pedicure, facial, and hair. At home, I added make-up and fancy clothes and I looked like I could step out on the town.

Now....for one of my quirks. It has always been a quirk....I do not like wearing lipstick...not at all...not one bit. I love the way it looks on me and on others, but I do not like wearing lipstick of any type or color. Don't tell me I have not tried a certain brand, etc. I have tried a wide variety, it is just that I simply don't like wearing lipstick. I always put it on and am so glad when it wears off.

Last night, while preparing to go out, I was reminded of this quirk.....I would be happy to never wear lipstick...ever, except that it does look so darn nice when I have it on. Soooo, I will put lipstick on again and again.
