Goody Bags

More Accurate....Goody BOXES
Generally, when attending a formal occasion, as Ron and I did on Friday evening, the "Goody Bags" or Party Favors are extravagant and meant to impress. I will forever remember the Goody Bag we received as we departed the Palms West Chamber of Commerce Installation Gala Event.
Rather than a glitzy gift, this is what our Goody Bags looked like.....
Inside????...the box was filled with FRESH VEGETABLES all grown locally in the Western Communities of Palm Beach County-Belle Glade, South Bay, Canal Point, and Pahokee, Florida. All weekend we enjoyed fresh Corn, Radishes, a variety of Lettuce, Green Beans,
and Sim-Chi Rice.
This was truly the most impressive "Goody Bag" I have ever received from any event, large or small. It was amusing to see the Valet Parking Attendants loading the box of Vegetables in to each car as they opened the doors for the passengers.

No ribbons, bows, or tissue, just a box full of the most delicious fresh vegetables from local farmers. Not only did we enjoy the vegetables, the sturdy box can be re-used. No waste and nothing to re-gift or donate to Goodwill. Totally functional and delicious!

Have you ever received such a functional, delicious party favor?

Shauna,

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Feel free to check in as needed. I saw your ideas for teachers down below and especially loved the marker bouquet...such a cute and creative idea.
