Not A Typical Day At Palm Beach Polo

Right here in my own backyard, a sad story is unfolding.
This, I am certain, is the beginning of a major investigation.
Yesterday, at the International Polo Club here in Wellington, the Final Championship Match had to be cancelled as the horses from the Lechuza Caracas Polo Team were literally dropping dead as they stepped on to the field. Some did not make it to the field.
As of this afternoon, 21 Horses are confirmed dead. Not that the financial loss is the main factor, however, the average price of each horse is $100,000. Wow. You do the math. This Polo Team is owned by multimillionaire, Victor Vargas of Palm Beach and Venezuela.
Click HERE for details. I saw the CNN crew around town, so I am sure the coverage is far reaching and up to date at this point.
Of course, there is speculation from every side of the fence, accident, deliberate, injection, tainted food, etc.
It is so sad to see these strong, healthy, beautiful animals drop to the ground, fight for their lives, and then die...in a matter of minutes.
Have you heard this on the news?
What do you think happened?
