Lunch at John G's is on the agenda, also!
Traditionally on "Take Your Child To Work Day" one girl goes to work with Ron in the morning and we switch at lunch time. This year, for two reasons, Ron won't be participating in TYCTWD. One...He is taking the day off to help with a Day of Service pre-project (getting a roof ready for everyone to finish on Saturday)
Two...If he was at the office, times are different...bringing children to work isn't an option right now.
In all honesty...I understand the concept of "Take Your Child To Work Day", yet have always thought it should be held on a day in the summer. After all, children need an education for their future employment. Either way, it is a disruption to the work force and/or the students.
And....well...School Half Days every month...they are a total wash. I would rather see a full day off every other month...But no one asked me...so I just make the best of it all and head to the beach whenever possible.

Our Take Your Daughter/Son to Work day happens in the summer. Daniel took Bella last year. His company does it for ages 7-16 and provides a ton of activities and stuff for the kids to do. They do a tour, have door prizes, math/science stuff, provide a lunch, etc.
