Where I Wont Go....

I have to draw the line somewhere..there are just some places I won't go.
Where, you ask, is that place? Twitter..... I wont, will not, refuse to go to Twitter. I know, you say....give it a try...you are so closed minded...well....I am not going there, and my mind is staying closed when it comes to Twitter related visits.
For this non-tech savvy person, I have enough places to visit in cyber space.....My mind is very open with too much pouring in from: TWO email accounts, TWO Blogs, MySpace (only for checking up on my children and their friends...read SPY-I haven't visited ICKY MySpace in forever) Google Reader, The Hit Counters for my Blogs, etc. Please don't ask me to visit Twitter.
I already have a huge Love/Hate Relationship with FACEBOOK (in my book it is known as "blogging on steroids") Depending when you ask me, I will tell you all the things that I LOVE, HATE, and am confused about regarding Facebook. However, I visit Facebook everyday....more than once! I LOVE having Facebook Friends, however, all those causes, surveys, games, etc....I just cant justify the time ( I am happy for you if you can) I LOVE that I can keep in touch with so many people via Facebook in such a streamlined manner. I LOVE letting people know what is going on in my life....most of the time. I LOVE seeing other's photos and catching up with their lives.
I HATE thinking of what to write for my status update, yet I HATE not having something written after my name, hence a BLANK Status. Oh.....too much.
I HATE that I admit that I LOVE Facebook.
And what, you say, confuses me? It is all the Friend inviting..the unwritten rules, etc. Like is it appropriate to invite a married man to be my Friend, even if his wife is not on Facebook? Just weird little things like that...I know..I over-think silly details.
If I think Facebook is Blogging on Steroids, I don't know if I could find the words for the Twitter experience, which is why, I am not going there.
Truthfully I dont want one more thing in Cyber Space to call my name.
Remind me of this post in a few years when Twitter is a way of life....
See...you thought I was going to say I would not go to WMt!
Am I the only one who has these issues?
What do you LOVE/HATE about Facebook, Blogging, etc.?
Do you Twitter?

I dont Twitter. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I do Facebook...a little addicted. In fact, my status right now is about twitter! I just dont see how people really care that much about what others are doing every minute of the day. Is it that necessary?

glad to know that I'm not the only one. I enjoy facebook it has gotten me in touch with so many old friends, what a blessing! But I have to watch my time, because there are much better things I can be doing. I also wonder about the "rules" of being friends with married guys, my solution, just let my husband know who I am talking to and why...so far that is the best I can come up with. :)

I heard on the radio yesterday that women ver 55 are the largest group flocking to FACEBOOK....which led the DJ to speculate that maybe they should call it FACELIFT!

I will probably never Twitter. I think it is too excessive and too much involvement in others' lives. I really do not want to know "that much" about other people's lives. I have a love/hate relationship with facebook too. I listened to a news story the other day about how twitter and facebook were causing people to end up with more anxiety issues trying to "keep up" with people and comparing themselves to other people. Sorry not worth it to me!

I love facebook! It gives me a chance to keep up with old/new friends in a way I never could before. I do not know what Twitter is and don't want to. I will not go there.

About the number of friends - I struggle to keep my number around 100. I do not want to go over. Its too many people to keep track of. So, when my numbers start to creep up around 120, I know someone's gotta go. My husband laughs when its time to weed out some of my facebook friends. Its a good thing no one knows when you've deleted them, not until they try to talk to you anyway.
