While My Computer Was In Surgery

My Mom Had A Birthday!
This is truly the appropriate time to say...."Better Late Than Never" Enjoy these "Blasts From The Past" as you note how beautiful my mom is...The woman who has given me many gifts..to name one... I have NEVER heard her say an unkind word to or about anyone...EVER. No gossip..nothing. What a Gift!
Spring 1972 Independence, Missouri
Here we are at a Primary Mother/Daughter Date. I remember the theme was "Kitchen Gadget Fair" and we had to decorate kitchen items for display. Yes, that is a green Tupperware colander all decorated up! Oh, and that is a FIRST PRIZE RIBBON my mom is wearing..it looks like a MISSIONARY TAG..something many of us are used to seeing her wear now and back in the days she served in the Sweden Mission as a young single sister. Yes, I am looking quite thrilled with my macaroni covered hand-held mirror.
Yes, my mother is totally SWEET, however, did you know she was a SWEET ADELINE singer? She is pictured in one of these shiny blue dresses with the MATCHING SHINY BLUE SHOES on the third row--far left. This was when we lived in Pocatello, Idaho (1967-68) I vividly remember the BLUE EYESHADOW my mom used when she performed. She never wore make up at any other time and I was enamored with the idea of her BLUE EYESHADOW. Yes....she has an AMAZING SINGING VOICE!

This was before our little sister was on the way.
Summer 1972 ST LOUIS, MISSOURI at the ZOO with our cousins from Utah.
Darlene, Me, Brent (dig the outfit) Don and My mom
Our little sister is in the stroller and well cared for by her "summer moms", Darlene and me!
Walking at the ST LOUIS, MISSOURI ZOO
Note how wonderful she looks after having a baby 7 months ago at a little older age than she had the first 3 of us. I did just what she did...3 children and then after a HUGE gap...along came a baby (in my case..Two babies)
Happy Happy Birthday, Mom!
I love you! I am blessed by your example!
