Question Answered and More

"Live in The Present.
Make it so beautiful it is worth the memory"
My trip to BYU Women's Conference and visiting Utah is coming to an end. Tomorrow afternoon, when I leave Salt Lake City, I will be taking much more home than I brought with me. Yes, my friends and I did our part to help the economy in Utah, yet the most important things I take home with me are not things at all.
I am returning with a heart full of love and gratitude. My spirit is refreshed and reminded of why I am here on this earth at this time. I have clarity, peace, and direction.
Several years ago, from Sister Wendy Watson Nelson, I learned the concept of "Take Your Questions To Conference" referring to General Conference. I have adapted that concept while taking my questions to Stake Conference ,Sacrament Meeting, Time Out For Women, and, yes...
BYU WOMENS CONFERENCE.
I TOOK 1 HUGE Question to BYU Womens Conference along with a few smaller questions. Trust me when I say....my HUGE QUESTION was answered.
I took so many notes during the 2 days of Womens Conference and cannot wait to review them. While taking notes, I was reminded of a VERY VALUABLE note-taking lesson I learned. Not only do I write down what the speaker/teacher is saying, but I write down what THE SPIRIT IS TELLING/TEACHING ME as I listen to the messages.(aka personal revelation)
This is why my heart is FULL....The Spirit spoke to me LOUD and CLEAR over and over and over, especially when listening to Elder L Tom Perry and to General Relief Society President, Julie Beck.
My HUGE question is answered. (I did not, necessarily LIKE the answer, either...you will read more about as I blog in the next month or so)
There is just nothing quite like spending 2 days listening to inspired speakers with 20,000+ like-minded women.
Oh....and singing hymns with those 20,000 women....now THAT is when the spirit touched my heart in a way I have not felt in a long, long time. Music opens up my heart and mind like words rarely can.
I Lived the Present fully on this adventure and the memories will bring me strength for many years to come.
April 29 and 30, 2010...Mark your Calendar, Save Your Pennies...
BYU WOMENS CONFERENCE is waiting for YOU.
Call a friend and commit to attend together!
Do you take notes in meetings/ lessons/ classes?
Do you review them?
Do you write down the things the spirit is teaching YOU as you listen?
Have you ever attended BYU Women's Conference?
Does Music touch your heart?
Have you ever taken a Question to Conference or another meeting?
I cant wait to get home and report in depth on this amazing experience.

I love women's conference and was sad to miss it this year so I'm online searching for notes posted by anyone. Thanks for sharing your feelings. I have a notebook (or a church journal as John Bytheway says) that I take to church every Sunday and to all meetings and conferences. I do take notes on great quotes or things speakers say, but especially what the Spirit tells me since I'd likely forget it otherwise. Glad I'm not the only one who does. :)
