Notes From The Road

(Because if I wait until I get home...the notes will be too long...oh and yes, I and I may forget a few details)
Here I go....breaking my "I am not going near a computer for 3 weeks" mantra.
I'm in Nashville waiting to pick up Ron at the airport. I am excited for Ron to join our little road trip. Not just because I am tired of driving alone, but because I MISS HIM.
Here are a few observations from the road:

• Sonic Ice Rocks..so do all of their drinks and shakes
• South Dakota ( and several other) license plates are hard to read...they don't make playing "The License Plate" game easy. There should be a rule when designing a License Plate..State must be easy to read!
• We only have one major item MIA....a certain 12 year old's Hanging Toiletry Bag is still HANGING in Uncle Brent's Bathroom....located in ATLANTA. Thank goodness for Target or WMT.
• I did not receive the MEMO...The World of Coke (aka The Coca Cola Museum) has moved. It is still in downtown Atlanta, but next to the new Georgia Aquarium. More important..it is closer the The Varsity Restaurant. I went to the former location and spent just enough time at Underground Atlanta to be grateful for the change in location.
• The movie at the former World of Coke was better.
• I still LOVE Atlanta...however...they can keep their TRAFFIC.
• Riley's "Happy Pills" did not help him be happy when we left, although Jeff and Alison are much better parents than I am.
• My GPS is providing entertainment not even planned for. When approaching a street that is a DRIVE, the abbreviation is Dr.....the GPS does not pronounce the Dr as Drive...it says DOCTOR. It feels so good to be smarter than ONE item of technology.
• You know you have been on the road too long when you start having a conversation with your GPS.
• The best items I "FORGOT" at home...all the DVDs and Nintendo DS plus games. Ooops! We are actually reading and communicating!
• Driving in to the Atlanta LDS Temple this morning brought back a flood of wonderful memories. I loved the years of traveling to and from The Atlanta Temple with dear friends and family.
• Note to my girls...Dont EVER challenge Uncle Brent to an EATING CONTEST at Golden Corral....HE WILL EAT YOU UNDER THE TABLE AND OUT THE DOOR...every time.
• I got my brother, Brent signed up on Facebook. MONUMENTAL.
• Satellite Radio and GPS.....Dont leave home without them.

Two Days down and so much to write about so little!
