To Locks Of Love!
Locks of Love is an organization that provides wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemo and radiation treatments. The wigs are made from real hair donated by people with very big hearts, like Megan. 
Last year at the Annual Visions Salon Cut A Thon, Megan set a goal to grow her hair all year long in preparation for the 2009 Cut A Thon, where she hoped to have 10" to donate for Locks of Love. Stylist, Tara, encouraged her throughout the year and measured her hair every few months to help her see how close she was. Megan's plan came together this past weekend!
The Visions Salon Cut A Thon is an annual event (with yours truly helping in the organization and planning stages). All of the stylists come to work on their Day Off and give hair cuts for a $25 donation (most people give more than the minimum). All funds from this day are donated to The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer charity. It is a great way to donate to a worthy cause and get a Back To School Haircut. One of those Win- Win situations!
