Just Another Decade and Another Set of Children....
For several reasons, starting in 1992, I Home-Schooled my 3 boys. Curt, for 1 year during 6th Grade, Jeffrey and Andrew for 2 years (Jeffrey, grades 4&5 , Andrew grades K&1) It was definitely the right decision for that season in the life of our family. However, this is NOT a post about Home Schooling...moving on...
Recently, I opened up the box of School Logs from those years. It should be labelled the Box of Memories. Oh my....it was so much fun to look through those papers.
I loved reading the essays, reports, and journals all in their hand-writing and in their own words. We worked on writing, spelling, and vocabulary most every day. Over the next few months, I will post some of the memorable essays.
Here is one from 11 year old Curt:
If I Ran For President
If I ran for President of the USA, I would lower taxes and my salary.
I would be against abortion.
I would prohibit drugs, alcohol, and tobacco products.
Plea bargaining would get you a longer sentence.
I would act as a normal person and not an executive.
