When You See It....Buy It

Well, not everything, however, we are in that season of Teenage Fashion (I recognize this is not unique to Teenage Fashion). You know...the one where finding clothes that actually have enough fabric to cover skin is becoming a challenge. It is the season where hours of looking are required just to find something cute and modest. It is the season where, upon finding cute and modest in one piece of clothing, immediate purchase is required...on the spot...when you see it....BUY IT!And when you see a cute shrug, bolero, jacket, sweater, etc.....BUY IT...in every color, shape, and fabric. I would not have purchased this strapless dress for Katherine had there not been a plan for covering up with a shrug. Hmmmm...covering up....not showing all of your skin...modesty in dress...such a novel idea and one I am thankful to live and teach my daughters.
Oh...and shopping for a Halloween Costume that is not a hoochy-mamma! Just try it! Thank goodness for Megan designing her own Super Hero Costume and for Katherine finding a Disco-Queen Dress that is cute and modest. Wow!
We took these pics after Church yesterday. No matter how many times she tried, Megan was not finding a smile. It just wasn't available! I get it. Some days, a smile is just hard to find.
Katherine got a cute new haircut on Friday. She went in for a quick trim of her bangs and came out with a new layered haircut. Cute. Cute. Cute! Last week was so darn crazy, I am sitting here on a Monday morning just hoping this week will be calmer. My calendar says it will be, even with Halloween and all the festivities, but I just never know when a fire may ignite that needs my attention to be extinguished.

Our we the same person living in two separate bodies??? On Friday night Adrienne and I were shopping for Erica's birthday gifts when we stumbled upon (although I believe we were led to) the perfect modest prom gown for Adrienne. (On clearance, too!) Had to buy it on the spot, even though prom is six months away!
