Praise To The Man

On this day, June 27, 1844, at Carthage Jail, Joseph Smith and his brother, Hyrum, were martyred.

The world changed forever.

Ron and Katherine will have the blessing of visiting Carthage Jail this week as they spend a few days in Nauvoo, Illinois.
Have you ever noticed that the Hymn, "Praise To The Man", is on page #27 in the LDS Hymnbook? As in 27 for June 27? The Nauvoo Temple was dedicated on June 27.
I am grateful to live in a day when I can receive guidance and direction from a living Prophet. I am grateful for the Prophet Joseph Smith who was an instrument in the Lord's hands to restore the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. This restoration brought the blessing of having a living Prophet to lead and guide through the rough waters of the of the latter days.
