All Eyes Were On Me...
However, my ears were someplace else, along with my mind!
Tonight, I was at a Boot Camp Fitness Class. The name says it all... this one is intense! At one point, we were doing sets of Push Ups then we would stand up and do some leg work, then head back down for more push ups. The first round of push ups, I was on the floor working and working, just wondering when the teacher would tell us to stop. I was dying, but just kept going and going, soon I looked up and the entire class was standing up and had MOVED ON to the next activity. They were all staring at me.....the Push Up Queen on the floor. I laughed and everyone had a little fun at my expense as I jumped up and joined them (thankfully, I know most of them and the teacher, Dawn, is an amazing person)
I honestly did not hear or notice that everyone in the room had switched activities. Either I was very focused (which is unusual for me) or very unfocused and on another planet ( more likely, however, I wish I knew where I visited!)
This is not the first time I have been "out of step" with the crowd and I am certain it won't be the last. Have you ever had an embarrassing Fitness Class experience???
I have had a few over the years, but this one is the most recent. A few years ago when I went to Spin Cycling Class every morning at 6am (when I was in the great shape I am working at returning to), I rushed in to class and did not take time to check my cycle before I got on and started to ride away......The first time the teacher had us stand up, my handle bars came off and went flying across the room.
No one was hurt, but my cycling buddies did not let me forget that for a very long time!
Now, I do hope that those extra Push Ups will tip the scale lower this week!!!!!
Yes.... 24 pounds down! That would be MY weight loss report since January 3!
