The First Lady and Girls

Obama Women Style....Love It!
This morning, when Sasha and Melia Obama made their first appearance, the tears came....and they continued off and on all day. I was so excited for these two little girls and for the adventure their family is on. I sat with my little Megan and told her that she would always remember exactly where she was the day President Obama was sworn in as our 44th President. We had so much fun talking about the transfer of power, and all the different people involved in each step of the Inauguration Ceremony. I just loved this day!
The two adorable First Daughters proved that their mom is not the only Fashion Icon.... LOVED their coats!
And Mrs. Obama's gloves....I would have a pair right now, if I lived where I would use them. (It is going to be a highly unusual 30+ degrees here in South Florida tonight. By the time I find the gloves we will be back to 80 degrees) Stunning..the gloves, her outfit, her demeanor. As usual, she looked gorgeous for this morning's Inauguration. I can't wait to see what she wears to the Inauguration Balls (all 10 of them) I love her sense of style and her wardrobe.
May God Bless America and
God Bless The Obama Family as
President Obama leads under extraordinarily difficult times.

Inauguration Day

It's Here...
Inauguration Day 2009
I echo the words spoken by George W Bush last week as all the past Presidents met at The White House with President-elect Obama. He said, in essence, We all have one thing in common, We want you to succeed. Because we love this great nation and if you succeed, we are all better off.
On this historic Inauguration Day, 2009, My prayers are with our new Leader, President Barack Obama, as well as all leaders of this great nation, The United States of America. May we be united in our prayers for peace, healing, and the success of our Country.
Most moving to me was the letter written by President Obama to his two young daughters.
Click the link HERE to read the letter and the balance of an excellent article from Sunday's Parade Magazine regarding historic Inaugurations.
I am excited to watch the Inauguration Ceremony and festivities as they unfold. I still remember watching Jimmy, Rosalyn, and Amy Carter WALK in the Inaugural Parade. OK, I am old enough to admit, I can remember watching Richard Nixon take the oath of office on his family Bible with his wife and children present (I was only 7 years old, but I remember watching it and learning his middle name was Millhouse...silly point of reference, but I just remember it)
A Patriotic Day such as this calls for Red, White, and Blue Jell-O parfaits!
How will you mark this Inaugural Day?
