Cupcake Cake

Large Cupcake Birthday Cake
OK, I know, Martha Stewart will not be calling to book
me on her next Cake Decorating segment...however, I
made this for Megan's Birthday
and I was quite pleased with the result.
Sometimes, I simply amaze myself.
Since the first time I saw this Cake Pan, I knew, at some point,
I would own one.
I got this Wilton Cake Pan from Michaels (Hooray for a 50% off
anything regular price coupon) and followed the directions.
I compared this Wilton Pan to the one from Williams-Sonoma
and definitely liked the Wilton pan better.
The Base on the Williams Sonoma Pan was too
small, in my opinion.
And where, just where did I get the LARGE Confetti Dots?
Wilton makes them. Find them HERE or in any store, like Michaels or
WM, that carries Wilton Cake Decorating Supplies.
At first, I was concerned that this may be one of those
"this looks easy, but is very difficult" projects.
Then, I was not sold on spending $$ on this pan.
Quickly, I realized, that this investment
(half-price at Michaels made the deal sweeter)
would pay for itself the first time I made a cake.
It was super easy and turned out super cute.
No doubt, I will use this many times in the years to come.
