Elder Hostetler

Peru-Trujillo Mission
Two weeks short of One Year as a Missionary. Andrew's first observation was that most of the people come up to his navel. He must have found a tall person to pose with!
He absolutely loves the people in Peru.
Speaking Spanish is less stressful and comes easier as time goes on.
He is faced with wild situations daily, yet does not whine about them (really-Andrew does not whine) I am afraid I would whine if using the words Pit Bull and attack in the same sentence described one my latest adventures.
Or bug bite, infection, and local clinic describe yet another adventure.
Then there is the machete.... the jungle...and the pueblos....
These are a few more words that should never be used in verbal or written communication by a Missionary to a mom. This needs to be covered at the Missionary Training Center in a class titled, "Phrases and Words not to use When Communicating With Your Mom"
