Blast From The Past....
My friend, Cathi, sent me a few clips from a 1977 JCPenney Catalog. Having been raised with JCPenney in my veins (my dad worked for JCPenny),this brought back some fun memories.
Don't laugh.... this was my dream furniture....
Can I just say, for the record...it is hideous! I don't know whether to laugh or gag!
This Barrel furniture was in every JCPenney Furniture Department for years. I had big plans for this furniture. It would go in my first home...in the Family Room with a Pool Table. There were many accessory pieces to match this Table and Chairs.... I would have them all!Thank goodness.... tastes and styles change. Thank goodness none of my homes have had to be graced by this Barrel Furniture. Now the Pool Table... that is still welcome!
I wonder what I think is stylin' here in 2007 will be the very thing I laugh at in 30 years. There are just some styles that do not need to be recycled...

Your barrel furniture was made in Livermore Kentucky. A company called Brothers Furniture Co. Now out of buisness. They made it for J C Pennys
I have a complete set of that funiture in grest condition and dont want it anymore, where can i sell it or any idea what it is worth. Pleasr contact me mikekoke1@aol.com
