Christmas Shopping Detour...
At the very top of the wish lists this year, each girl wrote... Aqua Dots. Easy enough. They were purchased, tucked away, and almost wrapped yesterday...ironic... the day after all Aqua Dots were recalled. Time to start making Christmas returns before they even make it under the tree.
Aqua Dots were named 2007 Toy of The Year. I had to hunt around the stores to even find them on the shelves... they were obviously a hot Christmas List item... Now they will be the Hot return at Target, WM, and Toys R Us.
This comes on the heels of a string of toy recalls here in the USA.... toys that were not made in the USA...toys that were made in **China... Helloooooo!
Our Easy Bake Oven, Five of our Polly Pocket Sets, One of our Barbie Sets, and now the Aqua Dots that the girls will never even know they almost had.
Aqua Dots were fun while they lasted...tucked away in my closet waiting for Christmas morning squeals of delight!
**Note: I made it through the entire post without becoming Political and discussing China and the US/World Economy... I did it.Mmmmmmmm

I'm sticking with toys made in the good ole US of A!!
There's always books too.
I seriously feel like walking into toys r us and saying "show me to the toys that are NOT made in china". This year I steered away from any type of toy they will put in their mouth. I am more than willing to pay more money for made in the USA products if it protects my children.
