It's Prom Time...Help Me Decide
Yes, I know it seems early...it IS early...The Prom for Wellington High School is this weekend...something about being able to reserve a large enough venue and the availability...oh well...it is this weekend. Wellington will be crawling with Limos and the Salons will be packed with girls getting their hair and nails done as well as some facials, tanning, and waxing action.
That, however, is not what this post is about...this is far more serious.
It is about MY Prom..sort of...
The Palm Beach Post is calling for Prom Photos from the 70's.
I happen to have a few to choose from and need your input. It would be easy if I had to choose my favorite date, prom, experience....hands down, it is #1, however, I am not sure we look 70's dorky enough for the what the Palm Beach Post is looking for...although the powder baby blue tux qualifies.
I will label them... and you vote this weekend...please...
#1- May 1976
Crown Center Hotel Kansas City Missouri
Raytown High School
He was a Junior, I was a Sophomore
(My favorite date, boyfriend, etc. but leave that out of the decision)
Kansas City Missouri- It was his Prom for Blue Springs High School
Very Fun, but I knew I was moving to New Jersey in a few weeks and it was so hard to not allow myself get too attached to anyone...even though I really liked this guy.
I am thinking this is the most 70's dorky. Look at his ruffles and my dress looks like a 7-layer whipped cream cake. There is actually a story behind this dress.
Berkeley Heights, New Jersey
Governor Livingston High School
We were both seniors.
Very fun evening, we went with a large group of which all the boys had been good friends and were all on the Soccer Team together. My date's best friends' date had the SAME dress as mine. She was gracious enough to remove her jacket for the evening.

My date and I dated most of our Senior year up until this time. By the time Prom arrived, we both had our sights on others, yet stayed true to the commitment to attend Prom together. We had a great time and went to the Jersey Shore the next day with a group of friends to one of their parents' beach houses. After this Prom, we both dated other people, but have remained friends for many years. It was great to see him and his wife at our class reunion.

Hmmm, I think #2 gets my vote!! You look the same in all three and now too!!
I like #3 but who's the babe in all 3 pictures?
You look so much like Megan in these photos.
I pick #2, because you and Megan could be identical twins from that photo.
I was torn between #1 and #2, but that flooring in #2 really got me so I pick #2.
#2
#2.
I always ADORED dress #2 and hoped I could wear it someday...do you still have it??!!
