As Promised, Lemonheads And All, Plus...My First Giveaway Contest!!!!

Alison's Bridal Shower
What a fun weekend.

There is a little contest at the end of this post!

The first few photos show the Bridal Shower decorations coming together early in the day.

I use these Hurricane Lamps for so many events. Each time, they look like a new decoration, depending on what I fill them with, where I use them, etc.

I am all about being able to recycle decorations!

Seeing part of the Decorations, you will understand why I had to go "Almost Dumpster Diving" in one those huge bins at Wal Mart.

I needed these... and lots of them...

....And they were only at the bottom of a HUGE pile of hundreds, no, thousands, of boxes containing every other type of "Movie Box" Candy. I was on a serious mission to get to the bottom of the pile. After strategically removing hundreds of boxes on top, causing a HUGE scene, being mistaken for a Wal Mart Employee, and then recruiting some nearby shoppers to help, I was able to get to the bottom of the bin and retrieve the needed Lemonhead Candy. It was so worth the excursion and making a scene in the store, plus I made some new friends who helped with the retrieval mission!!!! The decorations turned out soooooo darn cute! Yes, DARN Cute!

Below are the smaller Centerpieces I made using the cylinder shaped vases. I filled them 2/3 full with Lemonheads, added a bunch of daisies, and tied 3 Vases together with white ribbon.

Miss Alison's Shower Favors

Believe it or not, we did not plan to wear yellow, even though it matched the entire evening!
This is Alison and me after the shower. At this point, I was getting my second wind after a long day's work. I loved every minute of preparing and presenting this shower!!! I am so excited to welcome Alison to our family and be her mother-in-law!!!
Alison, a True Orange and Blue Florida Gators Fan, threw John Klemas for a loop when she registered for Yellow and Red kitchen accessories (Florida State Seminoles Colors) He will remind her of this for years to come...opening this gift was just the beginning.

The Gift Bows made a Bridal Bouquet to remember this exciting event.

When Jeffrey returned after the Shower, Alison showed him who is boss....

He was trying to do push ups with some extra resistance.
I tried a new location for my Chocolate Fountain.
Regardless of the location, it is always a hit!

We just finished it off tonight (Sunday)
I was missing Carmen while I was arranging these flowers.
They were a great accent with all the yellow!
