Recent Netflix

Movies and More Movies...
Here are my latest Summer Movies Compliments of Netflix.
If you have not signed up for Netflix yet,
wait no more...
click HERE now...yes, NOW, you will thank me later!
Vantage Point
Loved It...A lot! This was part of last night's date with Ron.
I wanted to see this at the theater. I would totally watch
it again. I was prepared for it to be very confusing because
of some of the reviews I had heard. I followed it all the way.
Most important of all...I DID NOT FALL ASLEEP for one second!
That is huge for me! I sleep through most movies!
The Prize Winner of Defiance, OH
Great. I have wanted to read this book for
awhile, now I will.

Mozart And The Whale
If you know or love someone with Asperger's Disorder,
as I do....watch this!

My daughter, Katherine has Asperger's
and so
does one of my brothers.
What struggle they have
trying to fit anywhere.
Josh Hartnett
played his part so well.
Radha Mitchell played her part
OK.
For as much as I know about Aspergers,
I just think her part could have been better.
You can watch the movie with or without commentation,
I would recommend the Commentation.
It was a great way to help others "get" Aspergers.
Most people spend too much time criticizing or trying to
change these amazing people, instead of embracing
their uniqueness along with their limitations and "quirks"
Mac and Me
A complete "ET" wannabe movie, yet cute in
it's own way. My girls enjoyed it.
The Apple Dumplin Gang
A Disney movie from the 70's Silly, but fun for my girls.
Million Dollar Duck
Silly, but cute. Not too Politically Correct with the
dad working at a lab where animals are used in testing
(they are not harmed) and the mom is quite the spaced
out dingy housewife. Overlooking all of that...it is cute and
my girls loved it. I remember just loving it when I saw it way
back in the day...

The Incredible Mr. Limpet

Cute and such the oldie classic. I had forgotten pretty much everything about this movie. It is mostly for adults, but appeals to children. Great messages about accepting and understanding those who are different (hence the Asperger's) and being careful what you wish for as you may get it!

Once again, I love Netflix.
No staring at the movie boxes for hours and not knowing what to rent.
All of choices show up in my mailbox regularly. This is a great way to expose children to a variety of movies from days gone by that are nearly impossible to find in a Brick and Mortar movie rental store or machine! Have you signed up?
Any classics, or old movie suggestions?
Pop them my way.

We loved Vantage Point as well. We never made it to the theater to see it so when it came out... Eric bought it. Mac and Me was a movie from my childhood. My brother and I would watch it over and over... hee hee.
