Penguin Cookie and Krill

Humor Me, Please...

Tell me this DOES look like a Penguin

(or at least remind you of a Penguin)

Today, was the 3rd Grade Penguin Party. These cookies were a hit.

I have seen similar Penguin Cookies all over the Internet, however,

I added the Candy Corn Feet for an extra "Penguin-y-look.

For Each Cookie You Will Need:

1 Oreo Cookie (with the top gently cut in half with a serrated knife-using a back and forth sawing motion-have an adult do this in advance)

1 Hershey Kiss

2 Pieces of Candy Corn

White Icing for attaching the Candy Corn Feet and Hershey Kiss Head

And what would a Penguin Party be without KRILL?

(aka Swedish Fish and Goldfish Crackers)

I had more Penguin ideas than one party can possibly hold. It is a fun theme to work with. For now....I am so happy to have the school party over. I want to get some baking done and complete some last minute shopping. The baking bug is under Katherine's skin and I have to keep up with her projects! As for shopping, I am not a last minute shopper, but this year, it just got away from me. Considering we are having a simpler Christmas, a few hours out and about will do the trick.
