The Road Trip Plans Are Under Way...
Florida to Michigan and Back
We have most of the stops planned along the way, however, input will be appreciated when it comes to the NASHVILLE, TN area and Mammoth Caves in Kentucky.
In true Hostetler form (it is actually genetic from MY family) there will be days when we attempt to see and do more than one day can hold.
If you have been to Mammoth Caves or Nashville....spill the tourist advice, please.....
Also...ROAD TRIP Advice...spill, please. TWO WEEKS on the road with TWO CHILDREN...any exciting tips. I have done this for many years and still look for new ways to make a road trip enjoyable and memorable. There are so many great ideas...do tell.
One plan....electronics (ie, Video Games) will be at a minimum...perhaps they will not even know the Nintendo DS made the trip until we are headed home.
The Library is definitely coming with us in the form of Books and Books on CD.

You guys are going to up by us :) Nasvhille is only 2hrs away. You have to stop at Opry Mills Mall - it is huge and just a fun place to walk around. Gaylord Opryland Resort is also fun (and free) to walk around, and it near actual Opryland you can walk around both places. The inside of the resort is beautiful it is like a huge indoor garden. They have indoor boat rides around the indoor river, and some waterfalls. There is also the Nashville zoo, but it is not a great zoo - I personally would skip it. Another interesting attraction is the Music Valley Wax Museum and Walkway of the Stars. It's just a neat place to visit and walk around. Something a little more pricey, but fun too is taking a General Jackson showboat cruise. You get treated to some great food on the cruise that usually lasts around 2 1/2 hours (I believe). Have a fun trip! Nashville is a fun place to visit
