Fifty Nine Miles

It's Official... The location of The Ft Lauderdale LDS Temple was announced today!
Thirty years ago, when we arrived in Florida, the closest Temple was a TWENTY FOUR HOUR Drive to Washington DC.
In 1984, the drive to the closest LDS Temple was cut in half to TWELVE HOURS when The Atlanta Temple opened.
In 1994, the THREE HOUR drive to The Orlando Temple was a HUGE Blessing ( and still is).
Soon.....FIFTY NINE MILES.....yes, just a little over a ONE HOUR Drive and we will be at The LDS Ft Lauderdale Temple. 
The location is near Sawgrass Mills (I-75 and Griffin Road). 
Never, and I mean NEVER, did I think I would see a Temple so close to my home in South Florida.
