We spent last weekend in Tampa, FL at the All State Music Competition.
Katherine was the only student representing her Middle School, so it was a mother-daughter adventure. We met her Chorus Teacher there who quickly got us pointed in the right direction.
She spent two days rehearsing with 310 other Middle School Vocal Students who had also auditioned and passed the test to be able to participate in this wonderful weekend.
There were choruses, bands and orchestras of all ages, genders, and levels of ability.
We took over the entire downtown of Tampa. All the Hotels and Convention Center were used for rehearsals and performances.
After two full days of rehearsal (about 14 hours) they gave a performance that brought the house down. I cried and beamed with joy the entire time.

Now....on to County Solo and Ensemble Competition next weekend
Then her audition for Dreyfoos School Of The Arts.
