He is a fun Kindergartener with a zest for knowledge and learning.
He reads amazingly well and uses BIG words in context.
He loves music, art, and funny jokes.
He is a deep, out-of-the-box thinker.
I love being Des' grandma!

Birthday At The Breakers Hotel

A Palm Beach Birthday....
Katherine and Megan had a wonderful opportunity today... Not very many children, let alone adults, can say they have attended a Birthday Party at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. The party for their dear friend, Alison, was held at The Italian Restaurant and Family Fun Center. A Family Fun Center like no other.... totally Palm Beach Style and Family Friendly (Yes, it is possible to use both of those descriptions in one sentence)
The Breakers Hotel is a magnificent building full of history and with service and atmosphere like no other place.
Tomorrow we are out of school for Rosh Hashanah. As my girls explained to me, they love their new school...it celebrates Jewish and Christian Holidays.
Just another day in Paradise.....The Breakers Hotel, School Holidays, Wonderful Friends... It just doesn't get any better....unless you count this following tidbit....
Part of the time they were at the 4 Hour party, Ron and I were the vanguard party in the search for our new family D-O-G. We found him/her, now we will introduce the girls to him/her tomorrow. Most certainly watch for photos and the full report. Katherine's will most likely be the most interesting and accurate.

Tutti Frutti Pink Birthday Treat

In celebration of my mom's birthday today, here is a deeee-lish dessert...
Tutti Frutti Ice Cream
1/2 Gallon Pineapple sherbet
1/2 Gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
8-10 Sliced Bananas (I cut them in very small chunks)**
2 10 oz packages Frozen Raspberries-partially thawed**
Partially soften the sherbet and Ice Cream, Mix all ingredients together until completely blended. It will be a beautiful pink color. Cover and place in the freezer. This recipe tastes as good as it looks! Recently, I served this at a Bridal Shower where the colors were Pink and Brown. I put a scoop of the Tutti Frutti in a small dish and garnished with a decorative cookie and some fresh raspberries. It was a hit. One of those recipes I had to e-mail all the guests the next day.
Doubling this recipe is easy and recommended-you will want to eat every bite!
**Sometimes I add more bananas and more raspberries.
