Birthday Party Memory

Four Years Ago...
October 20, 2003
Look Who Is Nifty and Fifty
This was one of the best surprises I have ever pulled off. A HUGE 50th Birthday Celebration for Ron. He thought we were going out to dinner with a small group of friends.... That group ended up being 75+ people ready to wish him well. The party was held at The Bomb Squadron Restaurant near Palm Beach International Aiport. We had the entire dance floor side of the Restaurant reserved for an evening of memories, celebration, laughing, dancing, food, games. and letting Ron know how much he is loved!
This was the moment we arrived at the party... for dinner with a 3-4 other couples...or so Ron thought. I remember being so excited that I had actually pulled this surprise off.
Ron received so many hilarious gifts. He sat in a Wheelchair as he opened each gift. When each gift was opened, the gift-giver would come to the microphone as part of the Happy Birthday wishes. This is Ron with Kevin after he dressed him in an Elivs Costume and did a wheelchair dance with him to "Hound Dog" It was hilarious.
For some reason... Ron recieved an assortment of wigs and hairpieces... Here he is modeling one with his "Nifty Fifity" hat. Note the walker someone brought for him to use while he was dancing.
Matt and John were very accomodating when it came to keeping the Birthday Boy comfortable in his wheelchair.
Here is is perched in his Wheelchair with yet another hair choice..

I Love You, Ron!

Oh my goodness! So much love and fun! I wish we had been Wellington-ites in 2003.
