Sharing Traditions

One of my favorite Thanksgiving Traditions,

Our Blessing Box,

received a new name so I could introduce it to the

5th Graders at our School.

 We made
Gratitude Boxes
for our 5th Grade Fall Party yesterday.

It ended up being complicated and chaotic,

but I think they got the point.

We also made
Harvest Mix (aka Blessing Mix)

and

Decorated Turkey Cookies.

What I loved about this party was that I could feel a sweet spirit as I discussed gratitude and making the Thanksgiving Season more meaningful. I enjoy the fact that Thanksgiving is a Holiday most everyone celebrates. There is little hesitation to say "Happy Thanksgiving".
Soon December comes and at School, we have to celebrate 
"The Holidays" not Christmas or Hanukkah, just Happy Holidays.
