Every Picture Tells A Story

July 2001
Ron, Katherine, and Andrew
Of all hats...Ron the MAJOR Florida Gator wearing a BYU hat!
I am sure it was in Honor of our children, Curt and Jeff at that time.
Every Picture Tells a Story...
Every picture truly tells a story. Thanks for sharing your stories and
memories of 9-11-01 yesterday.
Ron brought this photo home last night. It sits in a frame on his desk.
This is one of those times that the date being printed on a photo
tells another story.
The background and date in this photo ARE the story!
I am also so thankful I did NOT CROP the background out of this photo.
I am not a big photo cropper, anyhow. It takes too much time
and feels like I am cutting out part of my life.
(I am sounding like something I am NOT here..
a serious scrapbooker!)
I love to see the small details in the background of photos.
The little background details always tell another story.
Over the years, those silly little details become precious memories.
This was reinforced last week while I was in Utah visiting with
my cousin, Darlene. She broke out the family photo albums
and what a time we had...
Reminiscing, Laughing, Crying, and enjoying every minute!
Great memories and family times!
Great stories!
Do you like to crop photos?
Do you like the details in the backgrounds?
Do You Enjoy The Stories told by a simple photo?

Twin Tower Memories

More Memories...
New York City~July 2001
The last photo I took with The World Trade Center as a
backdrop. I love this photo and the stories it can tell.
Ron, with all of those children, wearing a BYU hat. I was taking
the photo, but I am sure there were those who thought my
sister in law was just another wife. This was something we would
laugh at over the years as we traveled together.
Ron, 2 women, and11 children.
Many of our summers included visits to New York City with
The World Trade Center ever present.
This was our last visit that included The Twin Towers.
We are with our cousins who live in that area.
Ron, Andrew, Katherine and Megan
are with
Monique with her children, Kristina, Ashley, Joel, Camille, Nicole, and Matthew
Yours truly is behind the camera...where I am 95% of the time!!!!
I am trying to remedy that percentage!
Just had to include a photo with me and the World Trade Center
Here we are on our Honeymoon.
Ron, Me, my sister, and my brother, Brent!
Sort of a honeymoon?
Where were you on 9-11-01?
Did you get to visit
The World Trade Center?

Where Were You?

September 11, 2001
Where were you when you heard about the attacks
on The World Trade Center?
Who were You With?
Who Told You?
What are your thoughts on today?
Is Your life different as a result of 9/11/01?
Here are some of the last photos I took of
The Twin Towers and surrounding New York City
Here is Andrew with his little boy Cousins.
The Twin Towers are behind Andrew to the right.
July 2001
Little did we know this was our last visit with the
World Trade Center as part of the sky line.
Ever so faint in the background are the Twin Towers behind
my nephew, Lumpy, in his stroller. Katherine is on the fence to
the left. I have a group cousin photo, but just have to find it.
Will post later! Stay tuned!
My sister and our little girls as we were visiting
The Statue of Liberty that day.
God Bless America and all those who lost their lives on 9/11/01
So Where Were You?
How Did You Hear About The Attacks?
Who Told You?
Who Were You With?
I was at home with Megan and Katherine.
I called my hair salon to make an appointment with Karen.
My neighbor, Vivian answered the phone at the salon and said,
get the TV On! Something terrible is happening in New York!
I got the TV on for sure...
Then I got on the phone to Ron and so many others.
I called Jeffrey in Idaho at BYU-I and woke him up with the news.
(If you know Jeffrey...you don't wake him up for anything...not even
an attack on The World Trade Center)
Curt was in Venezuela servind a mission
and Andrew was at Welligton High School.
First I thought of my brother in law who could be in the City
and my sister and their children.
Once I heard his voice and knew they were alright, I
breathed somewhat easier.
At this time, I remember feeling such a deep love for
my family, friends, and country.
It was a time like no other I had experienced.
I just wanted to reach out and hug everyone!
